Get Connected at Providence

The first and perhaps easiest way to begin your relationship with the church community at PPC is to participate in our Sunday morning worship service at 10:30AM.

SUNDAY MORNING COFFEE/FELLOWSHIP

At 10:00 AM, between the Sunday School hour and our worship service, we offer coffee and light refreshments. Mingle with friends, meet new people, and find out about the new opportunities for fellowship or service that have been added to our bulletin boards.

SUNDAY SCHOOL

We encourage participation in our Sunday School classes.  We work hard to see that at least one of them will be of interest to you and you will find helpful (see the page on "Adult Education" on this website).  Meet and interact with folks in these discussion-oriented classes to whatever extent you would like.  Of course, you are always welcome to just simply come and observe.

Keep your eyes open for the Inquirers’ Class. We typically offer this twice a year.  This course gives you an introduction to the church in regard to what we believe and why.  We strongly recommend you attend this class as soon as you see that it is offered.  This is not a membership class, but it is a class that will give you all the information you need should you be interested in joining down the road.

SPECIAL EVENTS AND SOCIAL GATHERINGS

At various times throughout the course of the year we have church-wide gatherings such as our annual church picnic, an Easter pancake breakfast, Christmas program and dinner, as well as a variety of less formal gatherings (like our potluck and game or trivia nights!). See our "Schedule/Events" for details.

SMALL GROUPS / HOME FELLOWSHIPS

Small Groups are ideal places to connect. They are a vital part of our ministry here at Providence and are open to anyone regardless of their faith commitment or membership status in the church. The atmosphere of a Small Group is warm and non-threatening as most groups meet in the relaxed setting of someone’s home.  We have small groups that meet on a variety of different nights, discussing a number of different topics and in locations all around York County. MEN’S BREAKFAST

Every other Thursday Morning
6:30 am - 7:30 am at Round the Clock Diner on Rte. 30. You are welcome to just show up or, if you want more information contact Chris Palmer or the church.
Breakfast, Fellowship and the study of a book of the bible using the question template we have used in the past (I’ll plan to bring some copies along). We will occasionally intersperse study of a particular book of the bible with personal testimonies and/or the sharing of passages that have had an impact on one of our lives. We try to save time at the end for prayer requests and prayer. We plan to always wrap things up by 7:30, but those who are able are always welcome to stick around and chat afterwards.

WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY

Our Women's Bible studies meet at the church, Wednesday evenings from 7:00 until 8:30 and Thursday mornings from 9:15 - 11, Sept. - May.  Each study is a diverse group of women of all ages and church backgrounds.  Being a member or regular attender at Providence is not a requirement. Other studies meet Friday or Sunday evenings. Check the Women’s page for upcoming studies.
