Raised in a loving Christian family, I became a believer at an early age. His mercy and care extended into the sometimes dysfunction of our family life, reminding me of my need for His grace then and also now as a mother of three grown-up daughters and three beautiful grandchildren. I believe the Lord gave me a desire to encourage children and families as I worked across forty years as a pediatric speech-language pathologist. Currently retired, the pull to point others to Christ’s mercy and love in practical ways is expressed in serving as the team coordinator for Providence’s annual Voices Retreat for women survivors of domestic abuse as well as supporting women of Providence as part of the Women’s Care Team.

I grew up attending church with my family. Most of my church experience as a child was at Providence Presbyterian Church. I became a believer in Christ at a young age when he called me strongly to himself. I have always loved being involved in the church, helping with a wide variety of things. I especially enjoy giving my time to the youth group and most recently have been involved with planning activities and events for the women’s ministry at Providence. I have a bachelor’s in animal science and I currently work as a veterinary assistant at an equine hospital. I enjoy spending time with my family, planning fun adventures with friends and riding horses.
