finding your gospel voice
Course Overview:
This one-day, intensive workshop is designed to transition participants from a posture of fear and performance-based pressure to one of relational freedom, intentionality, and skill-based confidence. The training is grounded in the theology of God’s sovereignty (J.I. Packer) and the prioritization of God’s glory (R.B. Kuiper).
I. Theological Foundations
• Module 1: The Divine Foundation – We establish that the chief end of evangelism is not merely saving souls, but the manifestation of God’s glory through the proclamation of His holiness, love, and power.
• Module 2: Fear, Freedom, and Focus – We distinguish between our responsibility (sowing/communicating) and God’s responsibility (growing/salvation), effectively dismantling performance anxiety and the fear of failure.
II. Strategic Intentionality
• Module 3: Mapping Your Mission Field – Based on The Art of Neighboring, we shift the focus from "out there" to intentional proximity. Participants map their geographic, environmental, and network spheres to identify individuals for prayer and service.
III. Conversational Skills
• Module 4: Entering the Conversation – We define active listening as an act of love and respect. Participants learn to use the LivingProof Spiritual Awareness Chart (Unaware, Curious, Seeking, Committed) to discern where a person is and utilize open-ended questions to deepen rapport.
IV. Practical Application & Sustainability
• Module 5: The Conversation Workshop – Participants are equipped with the "3 Circles" method, a simple, reproducible Gospel presentation tool used to clearly share the message when discernment indicates the individual is seeking.
• Module 6: Sustaining the Journey – The workshop concludes by moving from theory to habit. Participants finalize "Next Step" commitment cards for prayer and service and are organized into 8-week Peer Pair Refresher groups to practice discernment and conversational flow using diverse, real-world scenarios.
