Providence Presbyterian Church supports a variety of international, national and local mission ministries. Most supported international ministries are sent by Mission To the World (MTW), the mission agency of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). However, some supported ministries fall under the auspices of other evangelical agencies.

National ministries supported by Providence Church are programs of MTW or other evangelical ministries reaching out to specific under-served populations within the United States.

Locally, Providence supports a number of community-based mercy ministries in the Greater York area. In addition, Providence is an aggressive church-planting body and has started two daughter churches in the York area within the past ten years.

Providence supports ministries which:

  • Emphasize Gospel proclamation through church-planting
  • Are Reformed and connectional
  • Focus on under-served cultural groups, including those in postmodern urban areas

Providence allocates a fixed percentage of its annual giving to missions. These funds are then divided among the current, ongoing ministries with a commitment to giving "more deeply" rather than to spreading funds to additional ministries. However, new ministries are accepted as the Lord directs.
