The Women's Ministry
Team seeks to reach out to all women at Providence with the goal of
establishing and strengthening relationships among women in the church
community. The purpose of the team is to assist the
pastoral staff with shepherding women, to oversee all women’s
activities in the church, and to empower women to initiate, organize
and implement ministry and fellowship opportunities.
It is our desire that all women who attend Providence be plugged into the church family. To accomplish our mission, we offer a variety of activities to the women of Providence, including:
- Weekly morning Bible study. Childcare is provided.(The Bible Study does not meet during the summer months.)
- A monthly gathering on the fourth Monday of every month at the Delco Plaza Panera from 7:30-9:00 p.m. for coffee and fellowship.
- Bi-monthly fellowship activities, including dining at local restaurants, dessert and game nights, cooking classes, movie nights, and an annual Christmas dinner. Specifics can be found on the Web Calendar and in the Sunday morning bulletin, as well as on the Women’s Ministry Table in the church narthex.
The
Women's Ministry Team also seeks to meet the practical needs of the
members of our church by providing meals, childcare, transportation,
and household help when needed. Please contact Gail
Anderson or Karen Montgomery if you need assistance or if you are
interested in assisting in the care of our members.
