These classes round out our core curriculum and will be offered regularly.
- Christian Ethics - An overview of the various approaches to making ethical decisions with a discussion of the bearing of the Ten Commandments and the Sermon on the Mount on developing a biblical Christian ethic.
- Overview of Church History - A survey of Christianity with a focus on key figures, places, events and their contribution to the development of Christian doctrine.
- Ministry and Leadership - What is ministry? What is expected of leaders in the local church? How do I lead? How do I do ministry? These and similar questions will be examined in this course. Students will learn about the philosophy of ministry and leadership at PPC and how they fit in as leaders and laymen.
- Communicating the Gospel in the 21st Century - This course will explore missions and evangelism in the 21st century, including the unique challenges and opportunities we are presented with in a post-modern culture. Students look at different methodologies and approaches to presenting the Gospel.
- Practical Apologetics - ‘Apologetics’ is defending the faith. In this course, students will learn how to defend their faith in the face of an opposing culture with gentleness and respect. The surprise logic of the Christian faith will be discussed as we press world views to their logical conclusion.
