People worship God in different ways. As a Presbyterian Church, we recognize that we are only one small part of the Catholic (i.e. universal) church of Jesus Christ. Participants in our worship services come from many different backgrounds (Baptist, Methodist, Lutheran, Roman Catholic, Charismatic, non-denominational, and others from different faiths or no church background whatsoever). We do believe that God dictates how we should worship Him. That may take different forms at times. At times, you may find yourself singing loudly, at other times quietly. At times you may want to raise your hands to God in worship (1 Timothy 2:8). And still at other times, you may be moved to quietly close your eyes and meditate. Our hearts are moved in different ways during worship. We don’t ask participants to raise their hands or perform other external acts. We believe that how you express yourself in worship, based on Biblical requirements, is between you and God. We do not judge you based on what you do or don’t do. You are free to love and experience God as you are moved, as we worship together.
