What began as a one-year stint at Lancaster Bible College, turned into
a four-year program and a passion to work with children through
Christian Education.
Darryl’s initial plan was to spend a year at
LBC before moving on to another college and certification as a physical
education teacher in a public or private school. But the Lord had other
plans for this Lancaster County native.
Blessed with a gift of
working with children, Darryl focused on Christian Education where he
could share the Gospel with the youngest of Christians. After
graduation, he worked in CE at Grace Bible Fellowship Church in
Quakertown and later spent a decade at St. David’s Evangelical
Congregational Church also as Director of Christian Education.
By
1997, Darryl was working with Christian Endeavor International while he
lived and served in the York area. In 2002, he began working with
Providence on a part-time basis, and he joined our pastoral staff
full-time in April 2005.
Today, Darryl’s work stretches from our
nursery through high school. Children and Youth Sunday School, CREW,
Summer Youth Missions, and Providence Kids all depend on Darryl’s
leadership.
