Andy came to us 14 years ago. He was born and raised in the Philadelphia area and graduated from Westminster Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity in 1984. While in seminary, he served in a local church in the development and coordinator of a college ministry.
After seminary, he was called as the Assistant Pastor of Covenant Life Presbyterian Church in Sarasota, Florida. His primary responsibilities were in the area of youth and family. As the church grew, his responsibilities changed. Desiring to remain in youth ministry, Andy accepted a call to Westminster Presbyterian Church in Rock Hill, South Carolina, where he served as Assistant Pastor responsible for Youth Ministry.
Andy’s passion for students, and desire for a long-term impact on families, led him to seek a call as Senior Pastor. In 1997, the Phillips family moved to York.
Andy and Linda have been married for 28 years. Linda is a physical education teacher and coach in the local middle school. They have three children: Christie, who is married and lives in Groton, Connecticut; Laura, who is a teacher in Lancaster, Pennsylvania; and Kelli, a student at Lock Haven University.
