C.R.E.W. Youth Group

Christmas party on December 22th. Stay tuned for details and plan to invite friends to join us!

Prayer Warriors

A prayer group meets at Providence Thursday evenings at 6:30 PM in Room 1.   All are welcomed and encouraged to come and pray for individual needs, and the needs of our church, our community, and our nation.

Our sister church, New Life Presbyterian, has started a senior activity group called New Life Silvers, and anyone at Providence is welcome to attend their events. The next one is a “Pizza, Salad and Cookie Supper” on Sunday, December 2nd at 5:00 PM. After dinner, you’ll enjoy playing dominoes in groups of 4-6. Each couple please bring a dozen cookies to share and the recipe. Contact New Life at 717-855-2360 if you have questions.

Changing Hands

Have you been wondering what to do with medical  equipment your family is no  longer using? Are you in need of a wheelchair or walker? United Cerebral Palsy of Central Pennsylvania has a reuse program called Changing Hands. Manual wheelchairs, shower seats and benches, over-bed tables, walker, canes, lift chairs, raised toilet seats and portable ramps are being accepted. Because of limited space they cannot accept hospital beds or stair glides. All items must be in good to excellent condition. Changing Hands will clean the items and make them available to people who need them. If you have questions about obtaining items or would like to arrange to drop off items at our Camp Hill location, please call 717-737-3477 or email

The deacons would like to enlist the help of experienced painters in the congregation to "adopt" and paint a room in the church. Paint and other supplies will be provided, and paint colors will be selected by PPC's Decorating Committee. If you or your "team" would like to help spruce up the church facility, please contact the church office or one of the deacons.

Christmas Eve Service

Our annual Christmas Eve candlelight service will take place at 6:00 PM. An offering will be taken for the PCA Ministerial Relief Fund which provides financially for widows of pastors, as well as disabled pastors and missionaries in our denomination. Please prayerfully consider contributing to this important fund.

Refuge Ministries

An important element of our goal to come alongside of survivors of domestic abuse is Refuge Ministries. We are currently holding weekly support groups for women and men, here at Providence, and welcome others to join us and find healing and redemption from oppression. Do you know someone who would benefit from participating in these weekly support groups? Please see Vince or Karen for more information.

Weekly Bible Study

We are excited to be offering two Bible studies for women, one which meets during the day and the other in the evening. Pick the one that works best for you, or come to both!
The daytime group meets weekly on Thursdays from 9:15-11:00 AM. They are using Courtney Doctor’s study, From Garden to Glory. See Shannon Hawk with questions.
The Friday evening group meets weekly from 7-8:30 PM and is studying NavPress’ LifeChange series, The Book of Ephesians. They would love to have you join them!  Contact Kathy Hassinger with questions.

Weekly Craft Group

Ladies—Do you enjoy fellowship while working on a craft project?  A group of women meet weekly on Tuesdays from 1-3 and the 2nd Tuesday evening of each month at 7:00, here at the church, and they welcome newcomers.  Just bring that half-finished sweater or the scrapbook you’ve wanted to complete for years and join in the comradery.  You do not need to be a member of our church to join us.

Do You Love Babies?

The nursery is in need of at least four more regular volunteers. Currently, we have sixteen men and women who care for our little ones on a rotating basis, which means 2-3 times per quarter. If we have just a few more helpers who are willing to love these children (and their parents) by volunteering during Sunday School or worship, we could spread the frequency out. Please consider joining this team, and be prepared for a lot of hugs, book-reading, playing and fun!  Childcare clearances are required for all volunteers, but they’re free and easy to apply for. See Mary Oles or Marlena MacPherson with questions or to sign up. Thank you!
